Hey everyone, let’s SEIZE THE MTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! New Yorkers have come to accept that our commutes are long, expensive, annoying, unreliable, uncomfortable, and/or dangerous for people of color and young people. We deserve better. Today I’ll be speaking with my comrades from the Transit Justice Committee of the Ecosocialist Working Group who are currently envisioning a more just, accessible, AND sustainable future of transit in New York City. We’ll hear about their new platform and discuss each of its demands in light of our socialist perspective. If you’re a worker, rider, car commuter, or someone who’s just plain fed up with the daily grind of commuting in the United States’ largest city, we need YOU to join us in this fight for an MTA that works for us.
